Celebrating 40 yrs of nuptial: Unseen Big B, Jaya's wedding photos

Greatest of the great Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri have turned out to be the best couple both on screen and off screen. Spending years of a hustle free married life, today they are celebrating their 40th marriage anniversary. The two actors got married to each other on 3rd June 1973 just after starring in the film Zanjeer (1973) together for the first time. With this very film the super couple’s on screen journey started and continued to provide popular films like Abhimaan, Sholay Milli, Chupke Chupke, Silsila and so on. Not only on screen but the couple gained popularity both off screen also.
When Big B was asked about his feel for this very day, the superstar only had to say, “Yes, it’s now 40 years since we got married.” As everyone wanted to know about the plans for the day he said, “We are all in different parts of the world, so I don’t think there can be a celebration. Jaya’s in New York, Abhishek and Aishwarya are in England.”
Jaya Bhaduri though abroad for the time being is very happy to have successfully completed the 40 years of a happily married life. She remembers the day she met Amitabhji for the first time at the Film and Television Institute of India, in Pune. On the other hand she expresses her utter grief on the sudden demise of director Rituparno Ghosh.
Four decades of being together, bringing up two children Shweta and Abhishek, marrying them off and now the responsibility of being grandparents to grand children, the couple still looks as fresh as on the day that they tied that auspicious knot.
Amitabh and Jaya definitely have a splendid chemistry in their real life also as a couple and this can be confirmed from the last husband and wife role played by them on screen in the Karan Johar movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham which released in the year 2001. Movie lovers might be eagerly waiting for more of Amitabh and Jaya starrers to come soon.
Their celebrations for the day is kept on hold for the time being as the family is scattered at different places. It is true that no celebration can come out in its true colors without the family but everyone is waiting for the very party to happen in no time. As of now we wish them a very happy and prosperous marriage anniversary, hope they go a long way together.
