Priyanka Chopra’s father Dr. Ashok Chopra passed away on 10th
June and Bollywood celebrities in large number paid their last tribute to the
departed soul. A prayer meeting was held
yesterday which was also attended by Priyanka’s close associates. Dr. Ashok who
was battling against cancer for few years breathed his last at Mumbai Dhirubhai
Kokilaben hospital. His prayer meeting was held at J.W. Mariott in Juhu.
The prayer meet was attended by Kareena Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Shilpa Shetty, Karishma Kapoor, Abbas-Mustan, Dia Mirza, Nikhil Adwani, Rani Mukerji, Lara Dutta, Malaika Arora Khan, Isha Koppikar, Arpita, Alka Yagnik, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D`Souza, Madhur Bhandarkar, Prabhudheva, Imran Khan, Uday Chopra, Rohit Shetty, Zoya Akhtar, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh among others.
By missing Priyanka’s dad’s funeral, Kareena Kapoor raised many eyebrows and gave the paparazzi a chance to cook up fresh stories of her rivalry with Priyanka but she shut their mouth by attending the prayer meet with sister Karisma.
Kareena and Priyanka’s cat-fights dates long back when both were offered Pepsi ad offer. Both demanded for equal share and there was a huge fall-out. Few years back at a concert abroad, they went to the extend of hitting one another.
However, Kareena dug all the past hatchet and showed respect for PC’ father.
