Yet another season of Bigg Boss will see Salman Khan as the host of the show, clearing all the speculations related to the host of this reality TV show for the 7th season. In the last few seasons the actor has made this show very popular. TRP has been soaring high for this show. Salman has been the presenter of the show since 2010. This year however, rumors were there of Shahrukh Khan taking over as the host of Bigg Boss.
A source close to Salman reveals, "SRK (Shahrukh Khan) was never in the consideration. Salman has been getting the show amazing TRPs. He is also happy with the production team and has signed on to do the next season."
Currently Salman Khan is busy with his upcoming movie, but will take out time from his busy schedule to start shooting for Bigg Boss shortly. Season 7 of this reality show will be aired in September this year.
According to sources, last year the Dabangg lad took a heavy amount of Rs.2.5 crores for each episode and this year the amount surged to Rs.3 crores per episode. A report says that “Salman’s three-season deal had lapsed after the last season. The channel had approached him as well as SRK for the next season. They wanted to keep their options open. But looks like now Salman has come on board.”
The 47-years old super star has a charm through which he connects instantly with the audiences. He has his own style which he carries on stage. “Big Boss and Salman have become synonymous. As far as we’re concerned, the two brands are inseparable. We’ve to admit, the show has benefited immensely from Salman’s presence. At the same time Salman too has discovered an added connectivity with the home-viewing audience. His attitude really works for the show, and there is no chance of us letting it go.” said a source in an interview.
But few critics have their own fear. They say that Salman is not keeping too well and he has his medical check-ups going. Also due to his court appearances, his home production movie ‘Mental’ has been delayed. Looking at these, the question arises if Dabangg Khan will be able to do justice to the show.
