As reported earlier Salman Khan will be back as Prem in Sooraj Barjatya’s next and the latest update about the news report is that the ‘Band Baaja Baraat’ actress Anushka Sharma will play the hunk’s ladylove. The film will go on floor in October this year after Salman Khan wraps up with Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kick’ and Sohail Khan’s ‘Mental’.
After Kareena, Anushka Sharma is the luckiest girl to work with all the three Khans. She has worked with Shahrukh Khan in her debut movie, ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and ‘Jab Tak Hain Jaan’. She is working alongside Aamir Khan in ‘Peekay’ and now she has been paired opposite one and only Salman Khan.
It is heard that Sooraj Barjatya has approached Anushka Sharma and she readily agreed. After 14 long years, Salman Khan is teaming up with the Barjatya’s. He last worked with them in ‘Hum Saath Hain’.
Salman has pushed back the shooting of ‘No Entry’ sequel to accommodate dates for Barjatya’s film. The filmmaker is keen to begin shooting by the end of the year or early next year and report is doing the round that Sallu has given them dates before he kick starts the shooting of Sajid Nadiadwala’s 'Kick’.
Sooraj has not yet planned the script but when he approached the actor, he readily agreed. Salman even called up Boney Kapoor and requested him to postpone the shooting of ‘No Entry 2’ for filming Sooraj’s film.
Boney Kapoor confirmed that he is not starting the film shooting anytime soon without citing the main reason. He adds, “Talks are on with Salman as far as dates are concerned but I can’t reveal the details.”
Salman shares a strong bond with Sooraj Barjatya. Sooraj ventured into direction with blockbuster, ‘Maine Pyar Kya’ in 1989 with Salman Khan and Bhagyashree. The film was a box-office hit and people started to like Salman as ‘Prem’. He then stared in ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ (1994) which became one of the highest grossers. The last time Salman and Sooraj worked together was ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’ (1999).
Sooraj Barjatya makes family oriented film and Salman favors his choice as he too hails from a large family and believes in such themes.
