It seems like a good going for Tamannah in Bollywood. The heroine from the south India film industry got her first major break in Sajid Khan’s comic action movie ‘Himmatwal’ that released in the year 2013. Her hero in the film was Ajay Devgan. Though the film didn’t do much at the box office, her performance was noted by the audience and the critics alike. Director Sajid Khan was so pleased with her performance that he has decided to cast her in his next film as well, against the chote nawab Saif Ali Khan. Though the heroine was not available for comments she must be excited to have the opportunity of acting alongside Saif.
The film is named as ‘Humshakal’ and is heard to be the remake of the yester years laugh riot on big screen ‘Angoor’ (1982). Along with Saif, Riteish Deshmukh, Sonal Chauhan and Esha Gupta are also the part of the starcast of the upcoming movie. The shooting for the flick is scheduled to begin from September this year. The film promises to be a ‘Paisa wasool’ or a mass entertainer for the viewers.
However, it seems that there was other reason also behind the selection of Tamannah for the film. Earlier, it was decided that the Srilankan beauty and Sajid’s girlfriend Jacqueline Fernandez will do the lead role in the film ‘Humshakal’. As the relation between the director Sajid and actress Jacqueline turned sour, she was promptly replaced from the film by Tamannah. It seems that Sajid didn’t wish to work with his ex girlfriend.
What was the reason behind the breakup of this relation? It is said that Sajid wanted to get married and settle down while Jacqueline wanted to pursue her career and didn’t wished to be bogged down by marriage.
A close source states that, "He was trying to control her, telling her what films she should do and what she should not, this did not go down too well with Jacqueline who is young and very ambitious." The source also adds, "She knows Bollywood is not kind to married actresses and does not want to ruin her chance, she is not in a hurry to settle down but Sajid who is nearing his 40's wants to get married and have a family. This led to a huge showdown between the couple and they have called it quits."
