Why is Amitabh Bachchan not acknowledging Priyanka's dad's death?

Rishtey mein woh sabke baap lagtey hain.... And professionally too, he's a big daddy in Bollywood. But Bollywood's most respected actor, Amitabh Bachchan, who has played the father figure for many people - in reel and real life - shows no respect for Priyanka Chopra's late father?

The actor, however, seems to be more bothered about his dog's death than the demise of Dr Ashok Chopra.

Remember how he planted a kiss on Priyanka Chopra's cheek at the recent Filmfare awards? Is he only interested in kissing PC, not in being with her in her tough times?


What's more? He'd been tweeting about a certain voice-over for a documentary made on Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital, and sounds excited about it.

Priyanka Chopra's father, had been admitted in the same hospital for so many days in the same hospital, and while Big B was busy dubbing for the documentary, he didn't even bother to acknowledge Ashok Chopra's death even once on Twitter.

It is to be noted that Big B is one of the most regular and frequent tweeters in Bollywood. He tweets at the drop of a hat.
Big B is usually highly concerned about all the issues that our nation faces, the problems the film industry fights, and he's also concerned about people in general. He is always the  first person to announce his sentiments whenever a calamity takes place, or a big uproar is disturbing people. The tweets often begin with, 'My best wishes,' or 'My deep feelings...', 'Prayes, blessings for him and his whole family,' etc

In context of late Jiah Khan's suicide, Amitabh Bachchan was one of the first Bollywood actors to express his deep grief. 'I'm shocked to know about her death' was one of his tweets.

But ever since, news of Priyanka Chopra's father's demise has spread, while the whole of Bollywood  is offering prayers, Amitabh Bachchan is unperturbed!

While poor PC has always shown respect for the Big B and had also said that her song 'Bubli Badmaash' is a tribute to Amitabh Bachchan famous dance performance.

Ever since there's news of PC's dad's demise, twitter has been flooded with prayers and 'RIP Ashok Chopra'. Even people who are strangers to PC are sending prayers.   But look what Mr Bachchan has been tweeting about.
  

Of late, he's been telling about an  upcoming documentary on Kokilaben Hospital (the same hospital where PC's dad was admitted for days) for which he's done a voice over.

  

It's well-known that PC, now an A-list Bollywood actress and Big B know each other and keep meeting at various occasions. But this is not a recent activity, PC and Bachchan have known each other for a long, long time. Click to see those unseen pics:
