Renowned for some out of box and creativity driven
concepts, Ekta Kapoor is hard to please with mediocre work. No wonder,
the climax of her forthcoming film 'Ek Thi Daayan' had to be re-shot as
Ms Kapoor became restless and was unhappy with the first take.
Sources very close to the film reveal, "Ekta was not keep in going
ahead with the climax which was first shot. The problem was not in the
screenplay but cinematography. Thus, the entire climax had to be re-shot
by changing the camera angles and necessary little bit change in the
screenplay."
This news hints at the recent displeasure shown by Mahesh Bhatt
over his boy Emraan Hashmi not promoting his films including 'Ek Thi
Dayaan'. What makes us say so is the fact- Emraan was unable to market
his film along with three actresses Konkana Sen Sharma, Huma Qureshi and
Kalki due to last minute re-shooting of the climax.
The sources elaborate,"The entire star cast got no time to have
interview sessions with media because of the re-shoot of the last scene.
So, the media interactions had to be done at the last moment leaving no
breathing space for journalists to write extensively about the film."
Nevertheless, 'Ek Thi Daayan' indisputably, has created lot of buzz
and it remains to be seen whether mediocre promotions will have adverse
effect on the business or vice-versa.
