Sanjay Dutt's recent conviction by the Supreme Court in relation to the
1993 blast sent the industry in a tizzy. While numerous friends and well
wishers are coming out in support of the actor and appealing for a
diminished sentencing, Nana Patekar, on the other hand, seems to be
lashing out at the appealers.

When questioned about the Dutt's recent conviction by a Marathi news channel, Nana promptly replied, "I feel that Sanjay Dutt should adhere to the court's rulings; also I don't think he should be given a reprieve. From my end if I was to punish him, all I can do I refuse to work with him and stop watching his films."
Further he adds, "Why are the laws so different for a poor person or an ordinary man and me? Is it because of my celebrity status? Does this mean that as a celeb I can do what I want and then ask for forgiveness and receive it?"
