Sanjay Dutt gets non-bailable warrant for threatening producer

Double trouble for Sanjay Dutt
as today a Mumbai court has issued a non-bailable warrant against the actor in connection to a complaint filed against him by film producer Shakeel Noorani
Shakeel Noorani. Mr Noorani alleged that Sanjay promised a film with him but he did not keep his words and above all, he received death threats from underworld goons on behalf of Sanjay Dutt. Sanjay has skipped two court cases in this case before and now he got a non-bailable warrant.
Mr Noorani alleges that Sanjay Dutt promised to shoot a film with him in 2002 but later he backed out from his word. And now as compensation, Mr Noorani wants Dutt to repay him 50-lakh signing amount and Rs 2 crore for the loss. He also alleged Sanjay of giving him death threats through phone.
Sanjay Dutt has filed review petition against Supreme Court decision. On 21 March, Dutt was sentenced five years of jail term by SC in connection of possessing illegal arms and weapons but since he has already served jail term of one and a half years, he was asked to serve jail term of remaining three and a half years. He was also asked to surrender within four weeks but the actor has asked the Court to give in six months more time to surrender as he needs to complete his film assignments but Supreme Court has given him only four weeks more to surrender.
In a press conference, Sanjay broke down and said that he would not seek pardon and would respect the judiciary of our country and surrender in the given time.
