Amjad Khan’s son makes directional debut




Seemaab Khan, son of legendary actor Amjad Khan assisting Sajid Khan in the remake of 'Himmatwala'. ‘Himmatwala’ stars Ajay Devgn and Tamannah’ in the lead. A source close to Sajid said, "Seemaab's brother (Shadaab) is a close friend of Sajid and recommended him. As for Sajid, he has immense respect for late Amjadbhai and regrets the fact that he never got the opportunity to work with his childhood idol. He was happy to have Seemaab on board."
Before he ventured into Bollywood, Seemaab was playing cricket for his university team, he later realized that his true passion is film making and not cricket. Hence he joined film, When contacted Sajid said, "Yes, Seemaab is working on the project. He is a fabulous guy and is loved by the entire unit. He is talented and very committed towards his work."
Seemaab said he was emotionally attached to the film as the original Himmatwala has his late father played Sher Singh Bandookwala—the role which is now being essayed by Mahesh Manjrekar. Seemaab told, “The first and last day of the shoot was very emotional for me. I always wanted to be associated with my father's films in some capacity. I lost my father when I was hardly 10."
He was all praise for Sajid, "Working with him I have learnt the importance of being honest with your work. He knows the pulse of the audience and I want to learn that trick from him."
The trailer of ‘Himmatwala’ was released online which shows Ajay and Mahesh Manjrekar exchanging heated words. It shows Ajay and Tamannah dancing in retro style.
