Valentine's Day holds a special place for those who're in love. And why not? This is the occasion when the whole world celebrates this beautiful emotion. Here are some celeb couples sharing their thoughts and plans
Isha Koppikar and Timmy Narang
Valentine's Day is the best occasion for every couple to spend a romantic time together. Timmy and I make the most of this celebration. We celebrate this day by heading to some calm and peaceful place or dine at our favourite restaurant.
We don't plan in advance; it's really on the spot always. A Valentine's Day that was special for me was last year, when we were both in the US and were very busy with our respective schedules. While Timmy was in New York for his business meetings, I was travelling across the country for my shows and my hospitality course that I was pursuing.
To my surprise, Timmy landed at my hotel without informing me. The whole thing was a spur of the moment decision and he wanted to spend time with me with Valentine's Day around the corner.
Vivek Oberoi and Priyanka
Not just on Valentine's Day, but even otherwise, I love doing little-little things to bring a smile on my wife's face. That way, I'm a complete romantic at heart. I leave little lovey-dovey notes for her in the drawer or surprise her with gifts in her cupboard.
Sometimes, I take the elevator directly to our rooftop terrace and set up an elaborate dinner with candles, flowers and her favourite dessert. I love surprising her. Even though this Valentine's Day I'm away from her and my baby, I spend every single day making them feel loved.
Raveena Tandon and Anil Thadani
Love is such a vast emotion. Companionship, friendship and sensitivity form my idea of love. I am a very romantic person at heart. What makes me really happy is the fact that I still feel a flutter in my heart when Anil walks into the room. I prefer gifts to roses and candles. Anil has the knack of choosing the most beautifully worded cards, and he also writes some lovely lines for me. I don't believe in lavish Valentine's Day gifts.
Even a mug with a picture of us superimposed on it can make for a wonderful gift. It is all about cherishing the moments you spent with that special person. I feel that every couple should dedicate some time for one another.
Take that weekend off or surprise your partner once in a while. After years of marriage you know that your partner loves you, but sometimes it's nice to say 'I Love You' and Valentine's Day gives us another opportunity.
Kailash Kher and Sheetal
Before marriage, I had no clue about the significance of February 14. But then, destiny intervened and the pundits fixed this date for my marriage with Sheetal. And that's when I realised that the whole world is celebrating our love.
All the followers of St Valentine celebrate this day, as it's the biggest celebration of love the world over. Today, we complete four years of our togetherness. I usually don't do anything that day, except switching off my mobile and dedicating the whole day to my wife. This time, I've planned to gift her a laptop.
Shreyas Talpade and Dipti
Valentine's Day is an opportunity to tell your partner that you love her, so couples should utilise it (laughs out loud). I remember one of our first Valentine's Day when I forgot to book a table at a restaurant in advance. I took Dipti out and everywhere the seats were taken.
We went hopping from one place to another, and Dipti was really hungry after a while. At last, we walked into a place where a friend of mine was having dinner with his girlfriend. Luckily, two seats on his table were unoccupied and the four of us had dinner together.
