Noted soft drink brand PepsiCo India has appointed Bollywood Greek God Hrithik Roshan as the brand ambassador for its soft drink 'Mountain Dew'. Hrithik’s name was officially announced by PepsiCo India Category Director-Flavours, Ruchira Jaitly.
"We are proud to associate with Hrithik Roshan, who truly reflects the daring, bold and fearless persona of the brand and its consumers," PepsiCo India Category Director-Flavours, Ruchira Jaitly said in a statement.
She added that the company is looking forward to a blockbuster summer and she is confident that Hrithik Roshan’s association with the brand would take the product to a great height.
"I love pushing myself to the extreme and the brand's belief in this similar viewpoint proved to be an ultimate fit which I couldn't resist," Roshan said.
Ruchira Jaitly, Category Director, Flavours, PepsiCo India said, the actor “is a true embodiment of the brand’s philosophy of ‘Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai’.”
'Mountain Dew' is one of the highly sold soft drink across the globe and it has crossed Rs 1,000 crore sales mark in 2011. In 2011, Salman Khan was the brand ambassador of the product but they did not appoint anyone in 2012.
Roshan has been roped in as the brand ambassador for the brand to further increase its visibility across the country.
Hrithik Roshan will be next seen in his home production ‘Krrish 3’.
