Photos: Sachin Tendulkar prays at Tirupati




Ace Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar offered prayers at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh in the early hours on Saturday. Sachin wore the traditional dress, a white dhoti and shirt and participated in the ‘Suprabhatha recitation seva’ (a ritual), informs a temple sources.
Sachin Tendulkar was at the temple premises for about 20 minutes. After prayers, Sachin was offered ‘laddu’ prasadam, holy water and a sacred silk cloth by the temple management. While the priests chanted vedic hymns, blessed him at the ancient Ranganayaka mandapam inside the temple.
In December, the iconic batsman bade good-bye to one-day format paving way for youngsters to prepare for the 2015 World Cup.
In the long tenure of his cricketing career, Sachin has made innumerable records. His long cherished dream was to win world cup for India and his dream came true when India won the World Cup in 2011.
