Sajid ropes in Hollywood cinematographer for Salman’s ‘Kick’

Sajid Nadiadwala is gearing up for his next venture ‘Kick’ and he is in the process of roping ace Hollywood cinematographer Alexander Witt for the project.
Alexander Witt has worked as the second unit director of photography (DoP) on many hit movies including Pirates Of The Caribbean (2003), Casino Royale (2006), X-Men: First Class (2011) and most recently, Skyfall (2012). “Sajid wants the film to have a classy and edgy feel, especially since it’s going to be shot in London and Hong Kong. He has to complete the formalities (of the deal) today because Alexander isn’t available next week. In principle, he has already agreed,” says an insider.
Sajid Nadiadwala is very impressed with Alexander’s work and he is keen to have the Hollywood director for his movie.
‘Kick’ is expected to go on floors in July this year. “Before that, Alexander will come to India to meet Sajid and Salman,” adds the insider.
When contacted, Sajid confirms the news, saying, “When I watched Skyfall, I was most impressed with the look of the film. It has been shot in a very sleek manner. And all of it was done without arming Bond with any modern gadgets. I’ve wanted to work with the DoP from that team since then.”
‘Kick’ is the Hindi remake of 2009 Telugu blockbuster of same name. Randeep Hooda will be seen in a pivotal role while the female lead has not yet been decided. It is heard that Deepika Padukone might be signed but nothing has been confirmed as yet.
