Vidya Balan, Deepika Padukone to play sisters

Well, it is what called the casting coup. Versatile Vidya Balan and gorgeous and equally talented Deepika Padukone will play sisters in ace cinematographer Rajiv Menon's biopic of Carnatic singer MS Subbulakshmi. Vidya Balan was approached to play the character when Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stepped out and Vidya accepted it with full hearts.
The yet to be named film has now got the second lead actress. Deepika Padukone has been roped to play Vidya Balan’s sister. Rajiv Menon is keen to work with Deepika and he is happy that Deepika has accepted the movie.
Deepika is currently shooting Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela’ and also filming Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’ with Shahrukh Khan and she has given her dates for Rajiv Memon’s project. Deepika will be next seen in Ayan Mukherjee’s ‘Yeh Jaawani Hain Deewani’.
Both Vidya and Deepika are talented Bollywood actors and Rajiv makes sure that both the stars get equal space and both play an important role.
The film was first offered to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan but she politely declined as she felt the film is more an art movie than a mainstream cinema.
Well, both Vidya and Deepika are from south and they would undoubtedly make a delicious idli.
