Aishwarya’s Comeback Daw Her Avoiding ex-Vivek Oberoi

The 50th edition of Ponds Femina Miss India 2013 pageant could have seen the clash of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

and her ex boy friend Vivek Oberoi. However, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan avoided the clash. They were both slated to perform at the Miss India 2013 pageant. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was requested for a live performance on the D-day itself, but she insisted on having the list of the names of actors slated to perform live. Vivek Oberoi was also on the list to perform live at the event. After going through the list, she decided on pre-recording her dance number. She performed on one of the tracks of her film, Guzaarish. She wore a stunning outfit and was sparkling on stage. She seemed absolutely comfortable in her outfit and performing to the complicated steps that were choreographed by Shiamak Davar. It was an extremely stunning comeback after her pregnancy. Apparently the Bachchan bahu prefers not to dance at live events.
She had not taken up any projects after the birth of her daughter, Aaradhya. “Beti B” as she is fondly called by everyone, was born on the 16th of November 2011, and since then Aishwarya rai Bachchan has been a hands on mother.
Her recent performance is being called the first step towards making a comeback on the big screen. Although it was rumored that she would make her comeback alongside hubby Abhishek Bachchan in Farah Khan’s “Happy New Year” co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif, but no announcement for the same has been made yet. Recent buzz has it that she could star opposite “Student of the year” fame, actor Varun Dhawan in Shriram Raghavan’s dark thriller. However, no official announcement has been made on this either. Aishwarya refused to comment as well.
Apart from these two, the other celebrities who performed at the event were Priyanka Chopra, Aftab Shivdasani, Riteish Deshmukh and playback singer Sonu Nigam. While Priyanka Chopra performed on Desi Girl from “Dostana”, the boys were seen getting groovy to the title tracks of their films, “Masti” and “Grand Masti”. Manish Paul had the judges in splits with the anchoring, and he engaged them in funny discussions.
The event was held at Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai and the winners were selected for the titles of Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss Earth.
Miss Universe title was awarded to Navneet Kaur Dhillon, Miss World title to Sobhita Dhulipala and the Miss Earth title was awarded to Zoya Afroz.
