Mona Singh Reaction to MMS Scandal

Mona Singh

, of ‘Jassi Jaise Koi Nahi’ fame, is caught in a MMS scandal. On 28th of March, the MMS clip went viral on the internet, creating quite a flurry. Mona Singh, although shocked has been putting up a brave front. She is keen to go into the depth of the issue and fight the culprits. She found out about the same while shooting for her current TV soap, ‘Kya Hua Tera Veda’, and on learning about it, she immediately filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell. Mona Singh was heard saying, “It is just completely appalling and disgraceful that someone on the web can go to the extent of morphing my face onto someone else's body to create a sensational video! We have filed a complaint at the Cyber Crime Cell and are hoping to find the culprit. People need to realize that before being actors, we're respectable women and have family and friends who we are answerable to and who get affected by negativity that is thrown in our direction.”
The police have registered a complaint against the unknown person and are trying to find the IP address of the computer which was used to upload this video. They are also suspecting the involvement of someone who is known to the actress.
The actress has been in a steady relationship with actor Vidyut Jamwal. On being suggested that could this be a publicity stunt before the release of her beau’s next, ‘Commando’, Mona Singh commented, “No one, and I mean no one, would want this kind of cheap and disgraced publicity.”
While the police are trying their best to find out who is behind this, Mona Singh says that this is definitely a morphed video.
Mona Singh went on to say, “Thankfully, my family and friends are standing by me like they always have, supporting me to see this through. If today, this can happen to me, it can happen to any innocent girl and things like this can ruin lives and careers forever. This is a very serious issue and it needs to stop! As members of the media, journalists and editors should also take a stand against such acts and not provide the culprits with the publicity that they are hoping for as the outcome of their dastardly acts.”
In such cases, the victims should either approach the cyber crime cell or the cyber cell police station.
