Sridevi, the Chaalbaaz girl who regained her lost slot with her flattering ‘English Vinglish’ is there to stay in Bollywood. The most charming mother of the film industry has a persona of her own and has shown the excellence of her work on screen stretching a span of a few decades. With a beautiful love story behind her marriage to Boney Kapoor, there are several unknown and interesting facts about Sridevi that have never been heard of.

Salman Khan had caught Sridevi’s artistic flair when she met him during Boney Kapoor’s ‘Wanted’ in 2009 and advised her to paint. Since then, Sridevi is not just a photographer and an interior designer but a painter too.

Sridevi is not much into cooking but supervises what is being cooked at home. Sridevi and hubby Boney Kapoor (a Punjabi by heart) had two cooks at a time, one of which made healthy food for Sridevi and the other made Punjabi food for Boney.

Sridevi and Boney Kapoor have two daughters: Jhanvi (16) and Khushi (13). While younger Khushi follows the likes of Papa when it comes to food and fashion, elder Jhanvi is a careful fashionista and a diet conscious diva like Sridevi.

Not many remember Sridevi in television show Malini Iyer on SaharaOne produced by Boney Kapoor. Despite of having young kids and being away from films since a long time, she shot extensively for the show, balancing work and home with perfection to help Boney in his financial troubles.

Superstar Sridevi but a caring homemaker, made sure to get fresh and good quality vegetables and fruits for the family. She even used to go to market to buy groceries and even fish and attracted numerous glares from common people around her, floored to see the actress in a public place.

The diva who grew in front of the camera since the age of three also loves to go behind the lens. Sridevi loves photography and has an aesthetic sense of clicking the things around her.

In order to make Boney Kapoor quit smoking, Sridevi took to Gandhigiri and gave up non-vegetarian food till he quits, as part of a deal between the two.

No matter she is a superstar and may have attended a late night event, Sridevi makes sure to wake up at 6:30 am and help the girls in getting ready for the school.

Sridevi is not just a showstopper and a ruling style diva but also designs costumes for herself. She had sketched the costumes used in ‘Dushman Dil’ song in Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja. She gets the designer-wear customized for herself, suiting her tastes.

Sridevi is a music lover too and used to play instruments in her younger days.

A devoted wife Sridevi has walked barefoot from her home to the Siddhi Vinayak Temple when bubby Boney Kapoor was in financial troubles and his film No Entry was stuck up in lingo.

Sridevi is not just a polished actor but an interior designer too. She has done the interiors of her Mumbai and Chennai home all by herself.
