Siddharth Roy Kapoor impressed with wife Vidya

The next film by Vidya Balan
Vidya Balan, 'Ghanchakkar' is all set for its release and it will probably be a full on entertainer. Vidya has recently starred in some heavy roles like No one killed Jessica and Kahani. However, her character in this film is completely different. Vidya's husband and UTV head Siddharth Roy Kapur has full confidence on his wife and he is sure that Vidya can pull this entertainment product really well. He is impressed with Vidya's role in the film.
Husband Siddharth Roy Kapoor however is in no doubt of his wife’s ability to pull off a film that looks to be a full on entertainer. "(Director) Rajkumar Gupta has done a great job in the film. He has written such an interesting script. Both Emraan (Hashmi) and Vidya have performed extraordinarily. From the trailer you can tell that it's a full-on entertainer," said Siddharth who is also the Managing Director of Studios Disney UTV. His brothers Kunal and Aditya are actors too and if a project comes up, both will be glad to work with Bhaabi Vidya.
Speaking about 'Ghanchakkar', Vidya said, "As an actor, the best thing is that I am getting to play different characters and I am simply enjoying it. It can't get any better because the promos (of Ghanchakkar) have got a great response. It was a new experience for me because she is so loud," said Vidya as she described her new role. "I did not believe that I will be able to say the dialogues with the same loudness, but Raj Kumar Gupta got it out of me and I hope it is good," she said.
Ghanchakkar is a comedy thriller where Emran Hashmi will be playing opposite Vidya. The actress portrays the role of a housewife with a very poor style sense. This may well be a reflection of the past when the rather disastrous ensemble of Vidya attracted comments from every quarter.  "When she started out in Bollywood, everyone slammed Vidya's dressing sense. Her garish outfits and sack-like costumes won her brickbats from all quarters. But thanks to designer Sabyasachi, Vidya created her own niche in the industry with her traditional sarees. But looks like the past has come back to haunt her in her next film," said a source. However, Vidya was totally sporting about it. "It was great fun to say the least. My character in the film is actually quite outlandish and crazy and yet so relatable. I wish every woman were as confident as my character Nitu Bhatia in terms of her body and appearance," she said.
