Gauri prevails as Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra all but end their special relationship

Those who attended Priyanka Chopra's dads funeral came away with stories of how something seemed different between her and 'close friend' Shah Rukh Khan. The latter has been nursing a shoulder injury and seen wearing a sling. Despite his condition, the actor stepped out to meet PC and offer her condolences.

However, an insider confirms to us that SRK and PeeCee are no more 'as close' as they were before. The equation between them changed a month ago and ever since then, PC has been maintaining distance from him. For all those who believed stories of how their affair would snowball into something bigger than expected will be dissapointed. Our source tells us that, "their relationship was doomed from the first day!."

Here's what went wrong between the two. As per our informer, Priyanka was tired playing the second fiddle. The last month had been extremely harsh on her with her dad being hospitalised and her extensive physical training for her role as Mary Kom.

  

Admist all this she felt that SRK was distancing himself from her. Our source says, "She knew he wouldn't be able to give her the kind of support she expected. They both decided to keep distance and go back to being 'just friends'. Also Gauri and her group of friends were making it hard for PC to enjoy SRK's company openly. In fact there was enough tension in Mannat over the last few months over this situation."

  

Even though SRK made his presence felt at the condolence meet, sources confirm that it won't be the same anymore for the two of them. "She is an emotinal wreck right now. But he's not the right person she can turn to for solace. Losing her dad has been a huge personal blow and it would take a lot of time for her to come out of it."
