Salman and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s rivalry heat-up

Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s rivalry dates long back from the days of ‘Guzaarish’ and now it seems their enmity has reached the saturation point when both are desperate to make the Hindi remake of south Indian movie, ‘Kanchana’. It is reported that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has acquired the rights of ‘Kanchana’ remake and Salman also wanted his brother Sohail Khan to direct the same.
A source says, "There have been a lot of rumours about Kanchana's remake. At the time when Salman was said to acquire the film, he was supposed to play the lead role in the film. Later, it was said that Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Dutt were also in the race."

"Other filmmakers too seemed interested in the southern hit. For Guzaarish too, it was Salman who was to act in the film initially. But Sanjay Leela Bhansali later chose Hrithik Roshan over him and even cast Aishwarya Rai Bachchan," the source added.
The original makers of ‘Kanchana’ thought to make some profit out of the fight of the actor and the filmmaker and they have demanded a whopping amount of 2.5 crore just to give the official right to make the film.
Sanjay and Salman’s enmity all started when Salman has passed a derogatory remark against Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie, ‘Guzaarish’ way back in 2010. The actor said that ‘Guzaarish’ wasn’t even watched by dogs- “koi kutta bhi nahin gaya”.
Dates back Salman Khan while answering a little girl’s questions on how to make it big in showbiz said, “Jaake usko milo. Voh tumhare pe picture bana dega, khud khoob kamayega, lekin tumko kuch nahin dega,” (Go and meet Bhansali, he’ll make a film on you. He’ll make pots of money but won’t pay you a dime).

And when one person in the audience asked him for his opinion on ‘Guzaarish’, Sallu said, “Arre, usme toh makhi udd rahi thi, lekin koi machhar bhi nahi gaya dekhne. Arre, koi kutta bhi nahin gaya,”
The source says, "Salman and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's enmity is not new and this development seems to have taken their acrimony to a whole new level."
