Watch trailer: Prateik Babbar- Amyra as Romeo-Juliet in ‘Issaq’



The makers have released the trailer of the much awaited movie, ‘Issaq’ which is an Indian adaption of William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. Directed by Manish Tiwary

Manish Tiwary , the trailer shows love and war. Based at the backdrop of Banaras and its neighboring countries, the trailer opens with how love blossomed between Prateik and Amyra and soon it witnesses a high dose of violence.
The film is based on two influential Banarasi families, Kashyaps and Mishras, who are thick rivals. Amyra Dastur plays the role of Bachchi and she is the daughter of Kashyap, she is his daughter from his first wife. On the other hand, Rahul played by Prateik Babbar is a good looking teenager falls for Bachchi.
Everything was going fine with Bachchi and Rahul but eventually, situation turns ugly and Rahul had to take the path of violence to fight against the naxalites. Situation compels him to lift up gun.
‘Issaq’ is a Bollywood masala with high dose of romance, action, violence, drama and emotions.  The first look of the movie is unveiled in Mumbai today.
The party started with a live performance of Shakespeare`s play by lead actors- Prateik Babbar and Amyra Dastur.

Speaking on the occasion, 26-years-old Babbar said that he feels lucky to get this role in the movie.

"This film has got every thing, it has drama, it has romance, it has violence, it has heroism, and so it`s a perfect package for a great character," the actor added.

Dastur, who is making her Bollywood debut, also spoke about her character during the occasion.

"She is very head strong, she is very different, she really believes in love. I mean she is romantic and at the end of the day she is a girl," the actress said.

"Apart from that there are other things also in the movie like Prateik and I have got a very good cast. So there is a bit for every one, there is comedy, there is a little violence as well so like little-little things," Dastur added.


This love story is all set to hit the theatres on 26th July. Watch the trailer below:-
