Abhishek Bachchan, son of legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan turns 37 today. He has an elder sister Shweta Nanda who was married to Nikhil Nanda. Abhishek follows the footsteps of his father and ventured into films with J.P Dutta’s ‘Refugee’ with Kareena Kapoor who too debuted into Bollywood with this film. The film won the actor Filmfare awards for best male debut. Though the film did an average business at the box-office, the actor was never out of work.
‘Dhai Akhar Prem Ke’, Tera Jaddo Chal Gaya’, ‘Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai’, ‘Sharatak’, ‘Om Jai Jagdish’ ‘Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon’, ‘Mumbai Se Aya Mera Dost’, Tujhe Meri Kasam’ are some of the films that Abhishek starred in but could not taste success. His breakthrough was ‘Yuva’. ‘Dhoom’, Dhoom 2’, Bunty Aur Babli’, Bluffmaster’, Guru’, ‘Sarkar’, ‘Dostana’, 'Bol Bachchan' are the hits under his credits.Today, Abhishek is an established Bollywood actor.
Abhishek Bachchan’s personal life hit the headlines when he was engaged to Karisma Kapoor in October 2002 but the relationship ended and the reason best known to them. On the set of ‘Dhoom’, Abhishek and Aishwarya’s love blossomed and the duo engaged on 14 January 2007. The couple was married on 20 April 2007, according to traditional Hindu rituals. Their marriage was a grand affair for the media and it was highly covered.
Aishwarya gave birth to a baby girl on 16 November 2011 and was named Aaradhya Bachchan. Today Abhishek is happily married to Aishwarya and blessed with a cute baby girl.
Abhishek was currently filming ‘Dhoom 3’ and he has signed Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’.
