Kareena Kapoor Khan reached her sasural Bhopal to shoot for Prakash Jha’s ‘Satyagraha’ and the begum received a grand welcome. Saif Ali Khan’s royal extended family is settled in Madhya Pradesh and received the begum of Pataudi with aarti, teeka and garland.
A source says, "Kareena is staying at the same hotel where Amitabh Bachchanji will be received. The red carpet was rolled out for her with a grand welcome ceremony including aarti, teeka and garland."
A Bhopal-based source tells us, "Kareena prefers to be simple and her taste in food is also similar."
Saif will also join Bebo in Bhopal and it is heard that they will celebrate Valentine's Day in the city. This is Kareena’s first Valentine after marriage and the nawab has gifted a solitaire to Bebo. Mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore is also in Bhopal with Kareena.
This is Kareena’s second visit to Bhopal. Soon after getting married to Saif on October 16, Kareena with Saif’s family went to Bhopal and as per tradition, she was introduced with Nawab Pataudi’s extended family. Kareena there met with Saif’s relatives and the people. They had a feast there.
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor tied the knot privately in October last year after a five-year-long courtship.
This Valentine Kareena hopes her husband would gift her something special and Saif listened to his Bebo’s heart and gifted her precious stone. “This year Saif will have to gift me something. I think I have given him the biggest gift in October last year. Maine apne aapko begum bana liya hai (I have transformed myself into a begum). He should come and give me a gift," Kareena told reporters.
Post marriage Kareena has not converted into Islam. "I would never want her (Kareena) to change her religion. That is the trouble with religion really... it expects conversion. I don't buy or believe that. I think it's good that the government, too, has - unless I'm misinformed about the law amended to include it in the Special Marriage Act. If and when we do get married, no one has to change his or her religion," Saif Ali Khan said in an interview recently.
