It seems that the vetrnan actor Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam Kapoor is going places. The exceptionally stylish and beautiful actress has got the lead role for Yash Raj Film’s yet to be unreleased film project. It is to be shot entirely at Delhi. She was already shooting at Delhi for the film ‘Ranjhana’ and as the shooting for it got concluded she headed for the YRF set. Speaking about it Sonam had to say “I have been shooting in Delhi for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Ranjhana and now I am back here for YRF’s next. Delhi has practically become my second home.”
The star cast of the movie is interesting as Rishi Kapoor is to play the role of Sonam’s father on screen. Incidentally both of them share the same surname ‘Kapoor’ in the real world. Ayushmann Khurrana of the “Vicky Donor” donor fame will be the male lead actor of the film. The 28 year old Ayushmann and 27 year old Sonam are to be first time cast as an onscreen couple. It is a fresh pairing that is supposed to be well received by the movie buffs.
The story and script of the film is written by Habib Faisal, he has already proved his mettle in his earlier project of ‘Do Dooni Chaar’. His story telling has freshness in it and we are expecting nothing less than the same impeccable brilliance this time as well. Nupur Asthana is going to direct the romantic comedy. She earlier directed the film ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’. The shooting for the movie will commence from February this year and is supposed to release in 2013 itself.
In the movie the love birds (Sonam and Ayushmann) believes that the financial constraints cannot affect the love between themselves. However, a more practical father of the girl (Rishi Kapoor) begs to differ. He gets upset when he learns about his daughter’s love affair and decides to put up challenges for the couple. Rishi Kapoor’s screen name is VK Sehgal and by profession he is a bureaucrat.
The screen name for Sonam in the film is Mayera Sehgal and Ayushmann has the name Mohit Chadhdha. We sure hope that the duo gets a hit with this film. The combination of unique story, good direction and talented performances is a sure recipe for success and this film project would have oodles of them.
