I applaud the anti-rape bill: Sona Mohapatra

There are many who have voiced their opinion about the anti-rape bill and singer Sona Mohapatra is one of them.

Although she agrees to some points, there are some she has issues with. Sona told CS, `I applaud the anti-rape bill and hope it will be passed soon. The law will finally acknowledge stalking and voyeurism as crimes apart from the appropriate 20 years minimum sentence for rape.

I'm against the lowering of age for consent for sex to 16 years from 18 years though. This will not only sanction child marriages and trafficking, but will turn back the clock when it comes to population control. India cannot afford this.`
