US-based Indian filmmaker Mira Nair, known for her directorial ventures "Monsoon Wedding" and "The Namesake", is working on a film with Disney and says the narrative focuses on slum girl who becomes a chess player. "I am working on a film with Disney. The film is about an eight-year-old slum girl in Uganda who becomes a chess protege. She has learned to play chess with bottle caps. We are just starting to develop that," said Nair whose "Salaam Bombay!" was about street kids in the Maximum City. She is also working on a musical on her film "Monsoon Wedding". "It is a stage musical for Broadway. Vishal Bhardwaj is composing it. It will be a cross-cultural project," she said. The filmmaker said she is proud of her film "Salaam Bombay!". "I am very proud of 'Salaam Bombay!'. It was made out of nothing and it still stands out. It has directly changed many children's lives. I think it is still a work of art, which has power and beauty," she added.
