I was in a hurry to get married to Deepika four years back

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is busy shooting Ayan Mukerji's "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani"(YJHD), admitted that he doesn't have any problem sharing the screen space with ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone in the film.

Ranbir, who was last seen with Deepika in "Bachna Ae Haseeno", finds her completely "passionate and ambitious".

"When you come across someone who is as motivated as you are, the experience of working together is terrific. Deepika has got a lovely smile and it is easy to fall in love with her on-screen. I don't feel awkward with her. We are all professionals," said the 30-year-old.

Ranbir also confessed that he was in a hurry to get married four years back but dropped the idea after a director-friend advised him to focus on film career

"One should not keep deadline for marriage...kids. I was in hurry to get married. I was looking forward to getting married four years back...settle down. But it was (director) Ayan Mukherjee who told me not to do so and focus on my career as I had just started, and have fun," he said at a press conference here today.

Talking about his character in YJHD, he says the character will strike to today's youth.

"In YJHD, I've found myself. It deals with the relationship, heartbreak and ambition of four people. All my films have had a strong romantic tale underneath. This is the story of a guy who grows up from a 21-year-old boy to a 30-year-old man. It's an urban film with characters that are closer to today's youth," said Ranbir.
