Sridevi and sister Srilatha reunite, party together

The unfortunate quarrels between Sridevi and sister Srilatha has at last been put to rest, thanks to the mediation of proud hubby Boney Kapoor. The sisters had been very close at one time. Srilatha acted as the best friend and chief confidante of the actress and she even helped her perfect her expressions by filming her and later analyzing the films with her. However, legal and property disputes had come between the two sisters. At last, they seem to have reached a compromise. In fact, the mood of reconciliation went so far that Srilatha had thrown a grand party in Chennai in honor of her sister on Monday.
Sridevi and husband Boney Kapoor has certainly been celebrating her Padmashree award in style. One of the grand parties was thrown by well known businessman Subrata Roy Sahara which was attended by Jeetendra, Anupam Kher, Anu Malik, Sanjay Kapoor with wife Maheep, Chunky Pandey, Gulshan Grover and many others. Anil Kapoor, Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi were also present. Boney was visibly bursting with pride at the accomplishments of his wife. “Why shouldn’t I be proud? You name one other actress who has had a 40-year innings and made a comeback like hers. Sri is the only actress to have played the lead with two generation of actors in the South and North. In Telugu cinema, she has starred opposite both NT Rama Rao and his son. In Bollywood, she has worked opposite both Dharmendra and Sunny Deol. She should have got the Padma Shri long back. But never mind. We’re celebrating her success belatedly,” declared the adoring husband.
Sridevi has recently made her presence felt on the screen with Gauri Shinde’s “English Vinglish”. The film marks the second innings for the celebrated actress. Proud Boney said, “Do you know English Vinglish has earned $5 million worldwide. It was released in Hong Kong in March where it has become the second-most successful Hindi film after 3 Idiots. For a heroine-centric film that's quite an achievement." There is also a rumor going round that Sridevi may be cast in a sequel of Mr. India.
The actress herself has not remained untouched by so many parties and celebrations in honor of her award. “I see my husband glowing with pride at the things that have happened recently (her comeback in English Vinglish and Padma Shri). More than myself  I feel happy to see him happy,” she declared. English Vinglish - Movie Stills
