Manoj Kumar’s operation successful

Manoj Kumar has undergone a successful gall bladder surgery today and he is said to be doing fine. Manoj Kumar was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in suburban Andheri a few days ago after the actor complained of acute pain.

"The surgery went well, it was successful and he is doing fine," hospital director Ram Narain told PTI. The operation lasted for an hour. His family members were by his side during the surgery.
Fondly called as Bharat Kumar, Manoj Kumar delivered hits like Purab aur Paschim, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, Shor, Woh Kaun Thi, Kranti, Do Badan and others.
In 1992, he was honored with the Padmashri. Due to ill health, he missed out his best friend Pran’s funeral. Today is Manoj Kumar’s 76th birthday and his operation coincides with his birthday.
