Sanjay Dutt sends rose, poem to wife Manyata

For Manyata Dutt
Manyata Dutt, Sanjay Dutt’s simple gift from jail for her on her birthday is more precious than a diamond. From Yerawada jail, Sanjay Dutt has sent roses and a poem which he has penned for his dearest wife Manyata has reached his wife on her birthday. Manyata is deeply touched with Sanjay’s kind gesture. Says a source, “It’s been more than two months that Sanju has been in Yerawada Jail but he has been counting the days to Maana’s birthday. One day Sanju saw a red rose blooming in the jail small garden, and even though it was many days to her birthday, he plucked the rose as it was rare. He took it back to his cell, dried it in between pages of a book. He also wrote a beautiful love poem and sent it along with the rose. It takes a few days for letters to reach so he counted the number of days and posted it last Tuesday.”
Manyata received it last Saturday. “The simple gesture and the thought and love behind it, left her in tears. She just couldn’t hold back her emotions. Every Saturday, Dutt’s lawyer meets him in jail. When he came to meet Sanju on July 20, Maana had passed on the message that she received his letter and rose.

Sanjay and Manyata exchange letter to each other everyday. When the lawyer relayed the message, Sanju too got emotional and couldn’t hold back his tears,” the source says adding that no matter how busy or exhausted Manaayata is after a gruelling day’s work, she still writes a letter to her husband every day. “She jots down the day’s events as if she were speaking to him on the phone. Sanju and Maana don’t want to miss a precious minute that they are away from each other. Maana also sends letters written by family and friends to him.”

Manyata Dutt celebrated birthday on 22nd July but she has refused any sort of celebration and even turned down birthday wishes from friends and close ones. Manyata is worried that Sanjay is not with her and above all, he is not keeping well in jail. She was in no mood to call her friends or acknowledged their wishes.

A source close to the Dutts reveals, “Manyata is not ready to accept any birthday wishes without her husband. She is not receiving any calls for birthday wishes nor is she reverting back to smses. As Sanju is not keeping well, she has planned to visit a temple and is also keeping rozas for his well being.”
Sanjay Dutt who is serving jail in connection to 1993 bomb blast is not keeping well in Yerawada jail. He complained of high blood pressure and pain in legs. He was rushed to Sassoon hospital where a team of doctors carried out a complete health check-up. Dutt also complained of breathing problem. He is likely to shift to a hospital in Mumbai.
Once in a month, Manyata visits Sanjay in jail. It is reported that both exchange letter everyday.
Jail superintendent (Yerwada jail) Yogesh Desai confirmed Dutt’s health checkup. “Yes, the health check of Dutt was conducted inside the jail. It was a routine health check-up,” he confirmed.
When asked about his present health condition, Desai said, “Dutt is absolutely fine. There is nothing to worry about his health.”
Medical Superintendent of Sassoon hospital DG Kulkarni admitted that a team of four doctors from Sassoon hospital visited the actor at Yerwada jail to do regular health check along with two jail inmates on Saturday. “Such reports are confidential and we can not comment on this,” Kulkarni added.
