Actress and film maker Pooja Bhatt
Pooja Bhatt has been facing problems during the shooting of her
upcoming movie ‘Bad’ in Udaipur.
On 23rd July, while Ms. Bhatt was busy filming
her movie at Central Jail in Udaipur, National Students Union of India (NSUI)
activists disrupted her shooting.
To expel out her anger, Pooja Bhatt took help of social networking site. She said, “50-75 ppl (sic) claiming to be from NSUI have barged into Central Jail Udaipur shouting slogans against me threatening to shut down my shoot.”
In another tweet, she vented out her anger by writing, “If I were alone I would tackle them HEADON! But I happen to have a unit of 100. I am responsible for equipment as well.”
On this matter, police said, “The protestors, who were demanding that the shooting be shut down, alleged the private security guards of Pooja Bhatt hit them when they were protesting. They gave a complaint to Surajpole police station, which is being examined.”
The shooting finally resumed on Saturday after District Magistrate of Udaipur, Vikas Bhale, talked to both the parties. He is also reported to have made an appearance in the movie. Mr. Bhale also maintained that such movies will help in promoting tourism in Rajasthan and hence he supported the movie.
With the election for the student body scheduled in August, NSUI will be aiming its own constituency.
Later, Pooja Bhatt again tweeted, “I am being made a scapegoat by warring political parties who's (sic) clamour for power is inducing this goon like behaviour!”
The movie ‘Bad’ is based on the story of ‘Bikini Killer’ Charles Shobraj’s sensational case of jailbreak from Tihar Jail in 1986. Actor Randeep Hooda is playing the male lead. Former cop of Delhi Amod Kanth has also been roped in for being a consultant in the movie. When the actual incident took place, he handled the case. Shooting for ‘Bad’ began from last month.
