Aishwarya will turn 40 in 2013

Age had been a factor that most actresses feared to reckon with. The constant influx of newbies in the Hindi Film Industry keeps the competition alive for even established actors. Thus in such circumstances age used to be dreaded.
However, times seem to have changed now. Actresses are accepted irrespective of the fact that they are married, have children or are just turning older. Aishwarya Rai who got married in 2007 is treading on that path.
She was 21 years old when she won the international beauty pageant. This year she will be turning 40 on the 1st of November.
She started her career as a model but then switched to acting. Aishwarya has achieved a lot in her career till now. She has been one of the leading actresses of Bollywood. Her acting prowess has been tangible in films like “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam” (1999), “Devdas” (2002), “Dhoom: 2” (2006), “Jodha Akbar” (2008), “Guru” (2007) and many more.
She got married to Abhishek Bachchan in the year 2007 and delivered a baby girl in November 2011. Marriage had never come in her way of acting. Films like “Enthiran” (2010), “Guzaarish” (2010), “Action Replayy” (2010), “Sarkar Raj” (2008) and “Jodha Akbar” (2008) released after her marriage. She also won the “Best Actress” award for “Jodha Akbar”. She has also been the face of many international brands.
Shah Rukh Khan once said, “I feel very proud of the fact that when you go to London, France, Germany, the only two Indian names people recognize are Aishwarya Rai and Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh Bachchan has been there for so many years and he’s wonderful. But Aishwarya Rai is our contemporary, younger than many of us. She’s perhaps done less work than me and to still be the international face of Indian cinema is great.”
It has only been after her pregnancy that she has taken a voluntary sabbatical from work. However, with a year having passed, the actress now wants to take up films.
She being one of the most talented actresses is sure to not fall short of any work. She has defied other factors such as marriage and pregnancy with ease. Also post-30 she redefined her beauty by sporting a lean figure. We hope that 40 will sure be just another number in her life and have no other impact when it comes to her career.
