Aamir Khan's life has never really been a huge secret so far. The man has been in the limelight for decades, so it is abundantly clear that every step that the man takes would be captured and scrutinized by the media. But Aamir has never really tried to keep his personal life a huge secret too. The man has followed the call of his heart, no matter what the media has thought of it. Aamir Khan has never been very open or talkative about his relationships, though.

Aamir Khan's first love was Reena Dutta, so much so, that she even appeared on a song of ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’. He tied the knot with her on 18th April 1986. Aamir actually proposed to Reena the day he turned 21 years old. Their marriage faced a lot of problems in the initial stages because Reena's family was one of staunch Hindus and they were very much against this relationship. They eloped and got married.  Aamir had two children with her- a sun, Junaid and a daughter Ira. The marriage was successful for more than a decade. Reena even produced Aamir Khan's movie, Lagaan. In 2002, however, things went sour between the two and Aamir filed for divorce. The couple, that had been married for 15 years decided to call splits. Reena won custody of both her children as well.

The most scandalous point of Aamir Khan's love life was when he was alleged to have been in an affair with a British journalist named Jessica Hines. This was quite scandalous by itself, but what took the cake was the claims that the actor has a love child with Jessica Hines. Jessica Hines was in news in 2007, when she announced that the child she had with Aamir, Jaan, was getting married that year.

, the woman who was the assistant director to Ashutosh Gowariker for Lagaan. He has been quite faithful to her as until now. The couple announced the birth of their son, Azad Rao Khan in 2011- the birth was through a surrogate mother.
Kiran Rao, in an interview in 2011, accepted that she knew that she was not Aamir’s first love. She has claimed that both of them are best friends and respect each other’s work as well. She has claimed that for both of them, cinema is their first and foremost love and is one of the primary things that both of them bond over.
