Imran and Bebo start shooting for ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’

The romantic comedy film ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ is directed by Punit Malhotra. The film is produced by the Dharma Productions of Karan Johar. Announcement of this movie project was made way back in the year 2011 but the project was delayed due to casting issues.
Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor was to do the lead roles in the movie initially but Imran left the project as he felt the script was lagging and Sonam dropped off from the movie because she felt that the media will think that she is in the project only due to her relation with Punit, the director of the film.
Later Shahid Kapoor was approached for the leading male role in the movie but he denied due to scripting issues. Nargis Fakhri was signed to do an item number in the film but she too had to leave as she had shooting conflicts. Finally Imran Khan once again returned to the project to take up the lead male role and Kareena Kapoor was signed as the heroine. As for the item song Nargis Fakhri was replaced by Esha Gupta. Shraddha Kapoor too is finalized for a supporting role in the movie.
Bebo and Imran as a pair sound unconventional. Clearly it is so as Kareena is much more a senior and experienced actor than Imran. Besides, Imran is much younger to Kareena too. But Karan earlier casted them in the film ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ (2012) and they looked perfect together onscreen. This time too Karan wanted the perfect casting for the movie ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ and casted them together.
The shooting for the film finally started from the last week of February this year in Bangalore. As the cast and the crew join forces at the shooting location, we hear lot of fun and frolics are taking place. The good time that the team is having is clearly evident from the photos released in Twitter capturing the jubilant mood at the sets. The director, Punit Malhotra tweeted from Bangalore, “Now we’re gonna have some fun… Gori Tere Pyaar Mein!!!”
The director has even convinced Imran to return to Twitter. The director tweeted, “From now on everytime Imran tweets from here, he will sign ‘Ik’ at the end.”
We sure hope the movie shapes up to be as fun filled for the viewers as it is for the shooting team now.
