Katrina and Ranbir Kapoor to work together again

Love at the workplace is not a new concept and Bollywood has always been an avid advocate of the same in both reel and real life. In the earlier days of Hindi cinemas there were real life couples who acted on screen together as well. But now a day the concept seems to have gained mass popularity and we see numerous love birds working together in films. The recent couple to join this band wagon is the glamorous Jodi of sexy Katrina Kaif and the very dashing Ranbir Kapoor.
The lovely duo first worked together in the film ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’, they looked beautiful together onscreen but that was it. It was all professional and the sparks were not flying. However, things changed while they were shooting for their second film together, ‘Raajneeti’. Both of them became close and fell in love with each other. Though none of them confessed about their relationship, their chemistry was well evident on the silver screen.
Therefore, it became big news when Katrina was finalized to star in Imtiaz Ali’s next film, as Ranbir Kapoor was the chosen lead actor for the film from the very beginning. The love birds will be together in this project. The movie producer, Sajid Nadiadwala refused to confirm the news and only stated, “We still haven’t finalised the heroine yet.” Close sources near to Kat however confirms the news.
Apart from the chance to be with Ranbir Kapoor, getting a role in an Imtiaz Ali project is a good career decision. As per the statistics, the female lead roles in Imtiaz Ali’s movies have always been of substance and heroines in his movies have received critical acclaims.
This will be a good chance for Katrina to shed her glam doll image and to prove to the world that she can act too. Heroines such as Ayesha Takia, Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone earned huge appreciation for their performances in the movies of Imtiaz Ali, ‘Socha Na Tha’, ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Love Aaj Kal’ respectively.
This will be a new experience for Imtiaz Ali as well. So far in all the movies he has directed; he has never worked with a lead pair that is actually in love in real life. The pair of Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor broke up during the initial shooting days of ‘Jab We Met’.
