Chetan Bhagat
is one of the most successful novelists of the
Indian subcontinent. Not only that, his two novels have been adapted into movie
format and both have been huge hits at the box office. His novel ‘Five Point
Someone’ was made into the movie ‘3 Idiots’ that starred Aamir Khan. ‘3 Idiots’
that released in 2009 went on to become the biggest grosser in the Indian box
office. Next, the film ‘Kai Po Che’ which released recently in 2013 is based on
his book ‘The 3 Mistakes of My Life’. It is doing roaring business at present.
Recently Chetan went to Meet Salman along with Sajid to discuss the progress with the film script. However, Salman didn’t like the script and have asked Chetan to work on it as the actor felt that the commercial masala in the film was missing. According to a close source describing the incident said that after reading the script for some time, Salman kept the file aside and told politely that Chetan have failed in retaining the essence of the original film. Salman requested Chetan to 'Make it more commercial'. The grapevines of tinsel town tell us that Chetan haven’t taken badly to the remarks of Salman and is working on the script as suggested by the actor.
However, Chetan himself denies having ever met Salman Khan to discuss the script of ‘Kick’. He states that the script is not finished yet, he is working on it and so far he had interaction only with Sajid and his creative team about the film script.
Whatever the truth maybe, we sure hope that the team of ‘Kick’ works in harmony and Chetan is able to deliver a good script that will keep us spell bound in the movie theatres. The expectations are very high from the movie ‘Kick’.
