Salman Khan’s hit and run case hearing today




The hearing of Salman Khan’s hit and run case is going to take place today. On March 6, 2013, a Mumbai session court on Wednesday, will hear Salman Khan’s plea against a lower court’s order. Salman Khan has been tried under culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
On September 28, 2002, Salman Khan’s Land Cruiser rammed into a bakery shop in suburban Bandra, killing one and injuring four others who were sleeping on the pavement. The actor has been tried for rash and negligent driving. In his petition, Salman Khan has called the magistrate's order "bad in law" and "erroneous". The trail began in the Bandra court in 2006.
On January 31, a Mumbai Magistrate`s Court accepted the plea of the Maharashtra government that Salman Khan should be tried under section 304 (II) of Indian Penal Code (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) in the aforesaid case.
The hearing of the long pending case of Salman Khan was scheduled to take place in December during his birthday but it was later postponed and the hearing will take place today.
Another case is registered under his name. In the year 1999, Salman and four other actors are held for black buck poaching case.
