Aamir Khan's dinner date with Daniel Day Lewis at Time 100 Gala

Aamir Khan, one of the most influential people in 2013, received international acclaim for his work as he dined with Oscar winner Daniel Day Lewis, Steven Spielberg and other Hollywood celebrities at the Time 100 gala dinner in New York.

The actor took a three day off from the shooting of his upcoming film Dhoom 3 to attend the do.

The list also includes Barack and Michelle Obama, Pope Francis, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, Malala Yousafzai, Aung San Suu Kyi, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Kate Middleton.

Touted as the most known social campaigners from the world of showbiz, Aamir left an indelible impact on the minds of the viewers through his show Satyamev Jayate. The show became an instant hit with the viewers thanks to the social issues it dealt with and the positive impact it left in terms of implementation of laws.

Another Indian, who shares the honour of being a ‘pioneer’ with Aamir Khan, is lawyer Vrinda Grover. He is the front runner to bring change and justice after the brutal Delhi gang rape. Finance minister P Chidambaram also made it to the list as a ‘titan’.
