Vidya Balan joins Cannes jury members' panel




Well, sky is the limit for Bollywood actress Vidya Balan. The actress has gone a long way in Bollywood and created a niche for herself and now the actress has added another feather to her hat. She is going to be part of jury members of the Cannes Film Festival 2013.
Vidya, 35, who tied the knot few months back with UTV head Siddharth Roy Kapur has made a mark in her acting career with her splendid performance in movies like, ‘Parineeta’, ‘The Dirty Picture’, ‘Kahaani’.
The big names in the jury member are Steven Spielberg, Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman, Oscar-winner Christophe Waltz, Japanese director Naomi Kawase, Scottish director Lynne Ramsay, French actor-director Daniel Auteuil and Romanian director Cristian Mungiu.
"Vidya Balan on cannes jury... awesome...," director Anurag Kashyap tweeted. In the past, Sharmila Tagore and Shekhar Kapur has been a part of the jury member.
The jury will award the coveted Palme d'Or prize to one of the 19 films in competition this year.

is also going to be a part of a separate jury for short films. This year Cannes will celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema. The Cannes film festival 2013 will be attended by Bollywood noted celebrities’ including Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajinikanth.
This grand film festival will kick-start from May 15 and will continue till May 26.
