Feryna Wazheir signs 2-film deal

British-Asian actress Feryna Wazheir, who debuted in Bollywood with Raj Kanwar's Sadiyaan in 2010, is set to return to the silver screen with news of a two-movie deal with youth-focused cutting edge studio iRock Films.

Full details of the films are yet to be released, but Siddhartha M Jain, CEO of iRock, said: `Feryna has been cast in two iRock films and we will pitch her in fun, youth-centric and high concept edgy films, details for which we will be announcing soon.`

Siddhartha's studio which has built its reputation on creating genre-specific, high concept films like Ragini MMS and the soon to be released Disco Valley is determined to forge ahead with a new style of movies aimed directly at the youth market, which now represents India's largest movie-going audience.

Wazheir, who has been described by late filmmaker Yash Chopra as `beauty, innocence and vulnerability` is now ready to embrace a new, more dynamic and daring image to fit in with the urban style of iRock's portfolio.

The actress said: `This is an exciting time for Indian movies and I believe that iRock's style is going to allow me to show my versatility as an actress. I am as comfortable working on a serious independent film as well as a hip, happening and edgy movie! I'm happy that Siddhartha saw potential in me and has faith in me being able to deliver his vision."
