Saif Ali Khan all set to romance Kalki Koechlin

The ‘Dev D’ actress Kalki Koechlin will be paired opposite Saif Ali Khan

Saif Ali Khan in a romantic comedy to be produced by Saif Ali Khan’s production illuminati Films. Kalki who was last seen in Ayan Mukherjee’s Yeh Jawwani Hai Deewani’ was appreciated for her role. This is the first time Kalki and Saif will work together. The untitled rom-com will be directed by director duo Raj and DK. The film has been currently shot in Los Angeles. Kalki will be seen in a supporting role. The script attracted the actress to sign the project.

Kalki who is usually seen in off-beat cinema has proved her talent and now the filmmakers are keen to cast her in mainstream cinema.  Kalki confirms, “Yes, I am doing the film in a supporting role. I am very impressed with the director duo. They have a great sense of humour and the script has wonderful comic timing.”
A source informed, “There is no doubt that Kalki had made her mark with her first film Dev D but most of the mainstream filmmakers were wary of signing her and thought she had limited appeal. After YJHD, the fact that she is playing an important character in Raj and DK’s film proves that the actress has finally been accepted in Bollywood.”
Unfortunately, Saif's last film 'Go Goa Gone' failed to spark magic at the box-office but Kalki has proved sixer with her last movie, 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
