Sushant Singh Rajput captured a number of hearts with his debut film Kai Po Che adapted from the novel Three mistakes of my life by Chetan Bhagat. His balanced and talented acting attracted the eyes of Bollywood and his latest coup is bagging a coveted role where he will be romancing the Bollywood beauty, Katrina Kaif.Sushant began his television career in the serial Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV and was immensely popular. Abhishek Kapoor had cast him in one of the major roles in Kai po che. With his stellar performance in this film, Sushant had bagged some highly coveted roles in Bollywood. He is currently working on Peekay with Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma. He has also completed his work as the lead actor in Shudh desi romance opposite Parineeti Chopra. The film is produced by the Yashraj Films and deals with the complicated nuances of love and live-in relationships. It is directed by Manish Sharma and will hit the theatres later this year.

However, it is probably the current project of Sushant that is creating so much excitement. It is a new film to be directed by Abhishek Kapoor, who directed Singh’s debut film, Kai po che. Though the film has not yet received an official title, rumor is that it will probably be called Fitoor. It is a cinematic adaptation of the hugely famous novel named Great Expectations, written by the famous British littérateur, Charles Dickens. After Parineeti, Sushant will be seen romancing Katrina Kaif in this film. This comes as a surprise because Abhishek had declared his intention of staying away from the big names of Bollywood. According to reports, Katrina had  four hour marathon meeting with the director and ultimately agreed to do the film.  According to sources, “Abhishek was going through a lean phase after Rock On, but after the success of Kai Po Che things are looking good for him again. After all Katrina is one of the top stars.”
Sushant too had to juggle his schedule to make room for the dates of this film which will go to floor next year. A friend close to the actor said, “Sushant is indeed doing the film. He is sorting out the dates for his mentor. The shooting is scheduled to start this September.”
Both the lead actors are looking forward to the silver screen romance.
