Ayushmann Khurana walks out of Kunal Kohli’s film

Every year there are a number of actors who debut in the Hindi Film Industry. This year there is a host of contenders vying for the best debutant award. Among them the first to make a mark and get popular has been VJ-turned-actor Ayushmann Khurana.
This actor showed his talent right through the whole length of the film. He was effortless in his acting skills, and even displayed his flair for singing. He debuted with the John Abraham produced film “Vicky Donor”. The film starred debutant Yami Gautam, and was directed by Shoojit Sarkar. The film got rave reviews for its spectacular script.
This actor has already got popular and has received a lot of attention. But of late, the actor has been in the news for his not so favorable attitude. Ayushmann Khurana seems to have taken his fame too seriously and has opted out of a Kunal Kohli film, the reason being that no top-notch actress was approached to be cast opposite him.
Kunal Kohli took the decision of not casting a famous female actress for this film because of which Ayushmann opted out. Ayushmann claims to have chosen the film on the condition that the female actress would be an established star. When that was not to be, things turned the other way round.
This for obvious reasons made the filmmaker get annoyed and disappointed with him. To add to this, he tweeted about the fallout, making the whole issue public.
Kunal Kohli used his twitter handle to announce this, saying “Not doing the film with Ayushmann. We discuss projects with various people some happen, some don’t. No big deal.
Ayushmann’s reasons were demeaning to other actresses. Sad a newcomer thinks like that.
Real stars/actors don’t. Anyway, moving on :-) Also I was looking to produce a small film with him. Budget didn’t work out. I’d rather concentrate on other projects. Just to clarify
I was NOT directing the proposed Ayushmann film. Sad he’s projecting it like this to get publicity.”
This definitely hints at things turning bad between the filmmaker and the actor. But such demands at the start of one’s career are definitely uncalled for. What is worth waiting for is the way the new talent reacts to such a rebuke for his attitude so early in his profession.
Definitely Ayushmann needs to take things slowly and not get affected by his new found stardom.
