Shahrukh Khan celebrated his 47th birthday today but he skipped any celebration as he finds birthday celebration embarrassing. He met his fans outside his bungalow Mannat in the morning and held a media conference at his residence. He preferred a quiet birthday and like to spend time with family and friends on this special day.
After the demise of his mentor, Yash Chopra, Shahrukh felt heartbroken and he decided to skip birthday celebration. He will just spend time with his family. “There’s no plan. I will spend time with the kids. We will sit together in the evening and will get some gifts," Shahrukh said.
"There’s nothing media wise interesting about my birthday," the actor added. “Like every year, I’ll meet the people and take their blessings. However, there won’t be a huge bash. I guess I will be working from home, giving interviews for Jab Tak Hai Jaan,” Shah Rukh said.
The sudden demise of Yash Chopra has shattered the actor and he is in no mood of celebration. "It’s not because Yashji (Chopra) passed away. I am very embarrassed by big birthday parties. We have never done that. From childhood, we have never done anything like this and as a family we aren’t open to the idea," he said in an interview.
Few of Shahrukh Khan’s close friends arrive at Mannat to wish the actor. Among them were Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. Shahrukh Khan’s closest buddy Karan Johar came to wish him. King Khan another close friend Farah Khan also came to wished him at Mannat.
