TV actor Sushant Singh replaces Shahid Kapoor

Sushant Singh Rajput started off his career with daily soaps that made him a household name. Most actors who work in televisions want to step into Bollywood, however, none has been able to do so and succeed unlike Shah Rukh Khan.
However, things look bright for actor Sushant Singh Rajput. No actor has been able to make their journey from television to films as smoothly as has been the case with Sushant Singh Rajput. He will be making his big Bollywood debut with the film “Kai Po Che” that is based on Chetan Bhagat’s “The 3 Mistakes of My Life”. This film has been directed by Abhishek Kapoor who had earlier directed “Rock On”. The film also stars Amit Sadh, Raj Kumar Yadav and Amrita Puri in pivotal roles which are set in Gujarat.
Abhishek Kapoor claims that “It's a film about friendship and just a coincidence that both my films are about friends. But if you compare beyond that, both the films are dramatically different films.”
He added, "Here, the characters are relatable. It's a very deep rooted Indian film about middle class India and youth. It's about youth's desire of making money, becoming successful and having a girlfriend.”
Sushant Singh Rajput seems to be in demand from the time the trailers of this film went on air. He got offered “Aurangzeb” from YRF Films, but he turned down the project as he is tied to UTV, who are launching him with “Kai Po Che”.
He then got offered Maneesh Sharma’s YRF film that had Parineeti in the lead. Shahid had been approached for the role earlier but then Sushant bagged the role on the condition that he would do another film with UTV after completing the YRF film.
He also will be seen in “Peekay” that stars Anushka Sharma and Aamir Khan in the lead. This film will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
Reports that are screaming for attention is that Sushant has been able to replace Shahid for the second time in a row. Imtiaz Ali is the creative director of this film that will be produced by him and his wife. Choreographer Bosco will be debuting as director with this film.
An insider claims, “Imtiaz has signed Sushant for a film to be produced by his wife Preeti and directed by choreographer Bosco. The film is a remake of a Korean hit film titled My Girl Friend Is An Agent.”
The script has also been amended for showcasing Sushant’s martial arts expertise.
