After 10 yrs Kareena-Hrithik pairs up for ‘Shuddhi'

in Karan Johar’s next project ‘Shuddhi’. There has been a fight between Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor for the lead actress role but since Deepika Padukone’s diary is packed, Kareena Kapoor grabbed the meaty project. Kareena and Hrithik are paired opposite each other after 10 years. Major part of ‘Shuddhi’ will be shot in the holy city Rishikesh and Hrithik is said to be flying to Rishikesh for the film shooting very soon. The film will be directed by Karan Malhotra of ‘Agneepath’ fame.
"Karan (Malhotra)’s wife Ekta has worked hard on the script. It’s going to be an engrossing and challenging film for everyone who is involved with it. Hrithik will start work on it immediately after wrapping up Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang. If all goes according to plan, he might also travel to Rishikesh to shoot a portion of the movie,” a leading daily quoted a source as saying.
The producer of the movie Karan Johar said that shooting in Rishikesh is one of the major parts of the movie.
He said thus “Ekta has been working on the script relentlessly for the past year. And both (Ekta and Karan) have researched it extensively and made several research-based trips to Rishikesh. That’s one of the prominent locations for Shuddhi.”
Karan Johar also clarified it was wrongly reported that Shuddhi is not based on the book 'The Immortals of Meluha'.
Hrithik and Kareena worked in movies like Yaadein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, Mujse Dosti Karoge.
