Salman Khan misses out IIFA event in Macau




Salman Khan’s tight shooting schedules have not left any time for the actor to attend IIFA event this year. He will give the coveted award function a miss due to his back-to-back shooting schedules.
Salman Khan has been on the centre stage at a number of award functions and shows. His signature performances are very popular among the audiences. Especially the ways he connects to his fans at the live shows are something to look for. This time his fans in Macao will be disappointed as their hero gave a miss to the award function.
Salman is currently in Hyderabad shooting for his home production movie ‘Mental’. His brother Sohail Khan is directing the movie. The movie is already running behind schedule. Salman’s ill health and his constant court cases kept the actor busy and he could not finish his shoots in time.
Salman however himself informed his fans present all over the world about his absence from the IIFA show. He took help from micro blogging site, Twitter. He tweeted, “Hi ! All good. Sure @iifa wld rock. Cld nt b thr cs shooting every day (sic).”
Salman has a number of projects to do in the coming days. Some are already on floor and some will start shooting in few months time.
Other than Salman Khan
Salman Khan , the upcoming movie ‘Mental’ casts Daisy Shah and Sana Khan of ‘Bigg boss’ fame. The film is a Hindi remake of Telugu super hit movie ‘Stalin’. The movie will be released next year on 24th January. His other upcoming movies are ‘Sher Khan’, ‘O Teri’, ‘Kick’, ‘Partner 2’, ‘No Entry Mei Entry’ and ‘I Am Hariprasad’. He has also signed for Sooraj Barjatya’s unnamed movie. Mostly the movies are scheduled for next year’s release. Various other celebrities like Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Madhuri Dixit, Pulkit Samrat, Ayushman Khurana, Jacqeline, Boman Irani, Vidya Balan and Katrina Kaif among others have already left for IIFA events at Macao. Macao will witness the award function from 6th July to 8th July. Every year IIFA celebrates the achievement of Indian cinema at various exotic locations chosen from across the world. Macao also hosted IIFA in 2009. This year the award function will be hosted by Salman’s rival Shahrukh Khan. Shahrukh will be joined by Shahid Kapoor for anchoring at the award function. There will also be scintillating performances by Bollywood divas like Deepika Padukone, Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi among others.
