Ajay Devgn slapped legal notice to Yash Raj Films

The news that is making a lot of buzz now is about the two movies scheduled to release on the 13th of November. The two movies are Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son of Sardaar. Jab Tak Hai Jaan stars Shah Rukh Khan and is the last movie made by the ace director of romance Yash Chopra. While on the other hand, Son of Sardaar stars Ajay Devgan and is the work of Ashwni Dhir.
Apparently Ajay Devgan’s ADF (Ajay Devgn Films) has sued Late Yash Chopra’s Yash Raj Films for practicing monopoly in the film industry while using the same in unfavorable manners. His legal lawyer sent a notice in the Competition Commission to Yash Raj Films just before three days of Yash Chopra’s death.
He sent the notice and sued them for allegedly using their influential position and name in the film industry and thus not allowing the other movies to release on the same day as the release date of Yash Chopra’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
As per one of the leading dailies report, “ADF was forced to take legal recourse because of monopolistic practices of YRF. Before the release of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, in August 2012, YRF had reportedly used their dominant position in the market to enter into an arrangement with the exhibitors saying that they will give them ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ only if the exhibitors agreed to reportedly give their Diwali release prominence over others.”
Yash Raj films as reported has also asked Ajay Devgan to change the release date of his upcoming movie Son of Sardaar. Since the movie’s (SOS) release date clashes with Yash ji’s movie (JTHJ).
Although Kajol (Ajay Devgan’s wife) has a very good rapport with Shahrukh Khan, it is clear by now that the two actors (Shahrukh Khan and Ajay Devgan) do not enjoy each other’s company. The tiff between them is something they both deny to have. When Ajay was questioned, about his relationship with Shahrukh Khan in an interview that was held recently he said the following "I wouldn't call us friends, but not even just acquaintances; we are more than acquaintances."
He continued "It has so happened that we haven't spent a lot of time together, but apart from that, we never have a problem with each other! Whenever we meet, we are very nice to each other."
