Ex-cricketer and renowned cricket commentator Rituy/ravi-shastri/' title='Ravi Shastri'>Ravi Shastrihas decided to end 22 years of his marriage with Ritu. He has apparently filed for divorce. Buzz is that Ravi has moved out of his Worli’s Sportsfieldbuilding, seafront home to Churchgate, near to Wankhede Stadium. He had Sunil Gavaskar, Ajit Wadekar, Dilip Vengsarkar, Bapu Nadkarni as his neighbors. Ravi Shastri married Ritu, daughter of an Indian army officer and a trained classical dancer after a long years of courtship. Only four years back, the couple was blessed with a baby girl named Aleka.
“Once there were good marriage proposals coming for Ravi but he said he has something in his mind,” Shastri’s mother once quoted saying.
Ravi was not only a successful cricketer but he was also considered to be one of the handsome Indian cricketers. In his youthful days, 50 years Shastri had a well-publicized affair with actress Amrita Singh.
Amrita was also involved with another cricketer, Kirti Azad, and later she married actor Saif Ali Khan – the son of Tiger Pataudi and actress Sharmila Tagore from which she has two children. Unfortunately, her marriage with Saif ended in 2004 and in 2012 Saif married Kareena Kapoor.
Ravi is a popular cricket commentator and deeply involved in the game.
